Alexander Vaillencourt Writing Update

From Alexander’s Desk – 1/8/2022

Hello everybody. Today’s blog post will be a status update on my writing for the past week. This first week of 2022 saw a return to writing for me after being perpetually absent from it during the month of December. I have taken to a few new habits regarding my free time and it has been a good start. There is still room for improvement, and this next week will help me strengthen the habits that will bring about the world of Ansparia.

The Renegade Ocarinist

Regarding updates to The Renegade Ocarinist, I have resumed and added 2,179 words this week, which is far less than I’d like but it’s a great start. Next week I hope to add closer to 5,000 although even that’s not where I ultimately want to be as a weekly goal. This week finds Mia in the elven city of Ithlear, home of the Bards. The city is amazing, the content is quirky, and there’s gonna be a good bit of action before she leaves.

Related News

In related news, I also wrote two pieces for a side project that will go along with The Renegade Ocarinist. It’s something I hope to release end of March, and I’m pretty excited about it! I don’t want to reveal any more details about it just now but I’ll tease some out as we get closer to then.

I also wrote a piece related to the lore of Ansparia as a blog post entitled, All About Ansparia. Go and hear what the historian, Reilikar Dromespore, has to share about the world!

Unrelated News

In unrelated writing news, I wrote a couple poems that I may or may not share here and I’ve been focusing on my Twitter presence. I also started a Facebook author page that I’m slowly setting up but it’s not ready just yet. It won’t be amazing, just a way to have a connection on Facebook.

This Week's Goals

My goals for this next week include another excerpt from The Renegade Ocarinist, another post about lore from Ansparia, about 5,000 words on The Renegade Ocarinist, 3 more pieces for the side project I mentioned, reaching 100 followers on Twitter, and celebrating my wife’s birthday!

Until next week, stay safe and enjoy life!
~Alexander
